Despite having high vaccination rates, Singapore continues to experience an increase in Covid-19 cases mostly due to the new Delta variant. Weekly cases have been increasing, reaching 1,325 cases in the last seven days from just 723 in the previous week. More than the rise in numbers, Singapore is also worried about “the rate at which the virus is spreading,” leading to the officials imposing restrictions once again such as banning workplace interactions.
