As the outsourcing capital of the world experiencing a continuous rise in the digital economy, the next step for the Philippines is to get hyperscalers to further support the country’s economic growth with emphasis on digital. The Department of Trade and Industry-Board of Investments (DTI-BOI) together with the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) partners with top Philippine private companies, PLDT Enterprise and Meralco, with hopes of turning this into a reality.
