BPO workers in the Philippines are still excluded from the A4 vaccination priority group which consist of essential workers. Those under the A4 category are expected to have access to the vaccine by June according to the Department of Health (DOH). The BPO Industry Employees Network (BIEN) explains that outsourcing sector employees remain at risk for contracting the virus with many still working on site. BPO staff do no work face-to-face with their clients but not all client and accounts permit work at home arrangements.
